Brief:  Esso Exploration Angola Limited (EEAL), an Exxon Mobil Corporation subsidiary, has awarded Ponticelli Angoil, a Ponticelli Group company, the onshore manufacturing works and hook-up / commissioning at sea under the Kizomba Satellites contract for the FPSO(Floating Production Storage and Offloading) A and B modification. The Kizomba Satellites project is located on Block No. 15 off the coast of Angola, West Africa, and aims at the development of the Mavacola and Clochas reserves. These will be developed by connecting the two existing FPSO through subsea installations. Ponticelli Angoil offshore works include the installation of approximately 250 tons of structural steel, 750 tons of pipes and activities in Electrical/ Instrumentation, scaffolding, painting and industrial insulation. In addition, all necessary manufacturing will be performed primarily in Ponticelli facilities in Luanda. Our client is responsible for new works including painting and industrial insulation on pipes and steel structures for onshore preparation and hook-ups. Over a period estimated between 18 and 24 months, this project represents 20 to $ 25 million and nearly a workforce of 100 people including local staff and expatriates. The works will be divided into onshore and offshore. Project Manager: Fully dedicated to the project The PM is an onshore position, rotation 12 weeks on / 3 weeks off. He will be accountable for delivery of the project, having full authority over the necessary resources, and will be the main contact on the project for the Company. The PM will be a key member of the senior management team and will be responsible for coordinating all the Project activities. He is the warrant of proper execution of the scope of work within the specifications by organizing and implementing resources (personnel, equipment and materials) and will assess the continuing training. He will propose and implement the engineering plan and assess the resources. He will write the monthly reports, monitor work-progress and prepare the monthly invoices, in accordance with the project schedule and progress measurement control. He is the warrant of HSE and Quality Commitments and Policies of the Company. He is the warrant of team spirit promotion, working within the team to achieve common objectives. This position is a definite plus for the project and remains essential to analyse and use the various feedbacks at all levels. Job Description Duties:I. Coordinate execution of the contract to the customer's satisfaction under the most profitable conditions possible.II. Draw up the project organization chart and issue the corresponding requests for personnel.III. Ensure, within the profit center, the human resources division and the functional divisions that qualified personnel necessary for execution of the project tasks have been assigned.IV. Organize the contract review in all fields of activity (Blasting, Coatings, Scaffolding, Industrial Insulation) , supervise the drawing up of corresponding synthesis documents.V. Identify the quality requirements; define the quality policy and its associated quality objectives in order to define the applicable quality system.VI. Effectively implement the quality assurance principles and provisions, in particular, write the project quality plan with the project leaders.VII. Carry out the project management reviews.VIII. Issue detailed project management procedures in compliance with the general procedures of the Company and the contract's requirements, particularly in terms of the numbering and filing of documents.IX. Break down the project into work packages and schedule the corresponding activities.X. Implement the provisions aimed at ensuring health, safety, and protection of the environment, security and, in particular, draw up and apply the health, safety and environment plan specific to the project (HSES Plan).XI. Ensure all the interfaces and communications with the customer for whom he is the privileged official spokesman. This includes:· Handling all correspondence with the customer and control of the documents circulating between the Company and/or the subsidiary concerned and the customer.· Managing the work progress and its acceptance by the customer.· Invoicing and follow-up of payments.· Organizing and chairing meetings with the customer.· Negotiating additional work.· Obtaining the work completion certificate.· Distributing the data book, instruction manuals and other technical procedures to the customer.XII. Continually control the project in the different phases:· Coordination and supervision of designs (engineering, methods).· Coordination and supervision of procurement (issue of purchase requests, approval of all materials orders, subcontracts, follow-up of delivery times, etc.).· Coordination and supervision of work at the sites.· Coordination, scheduling and supervision of subcontracted work.· Follow-up of the weekly schedule including control of the front-line,S curves and histograms.· Follow-up of quality control results.XIII. Ensure management of all administrative and financial aspects of the contract, including:· Definition of the main subcontracts, as well as the limits, interfaces and corresponding contractual conditions.· Preparation of the target document and organization of the target meeting.· Administration of the contract, any eventual modifications, and control of its budget.· Verification of the monthly project report.XIV. Organize, supervise and approve the choice of technical options to be adopted, in view of attaining the best project execution and profitability conditions.XV. Organize and chair the project review meetings or meetings with in-house or outside specialists to resolve specific problems.XVI. Ensure the liaison with the functional divisions of the Company.XVII. Ensure transmission of all necessary documents, procedures and instructions to the managers concerned, the subcontractors, the subsidiaries involved in the project, and those responsible for the on-site execution of the work.XVIII. Ensure the best use of human and equipment resources with regard to plans and budgets.XIX. Continually monitor developments in the project profitability and scheduling, and take any measures necessary to control them.XX. Keep the Management continually informed of these developments and the measures taken, through fully detailed reports.XXI. Propose to the Resident Area Manager, the use of exceptional measures in order to recover from significant deviations or to improve profitability.XXII. Request the Commercial Manager's input for the management of the relationship with the client.XXIII. Participate in decisions regarding the handling of nonconformity, in cooperation with the Project Quality Delegate.XXIV. Coordinate and supervise the personnel under him and issue comments to be added to their annual review.XXV. Anticipate the needs for and the availability of the project's personnel.XXVI. Draw up and distribute a project completion report, underlining all technical, qualitative, financial and contractual lessons.XXVII. Archive the Project documentation. Remuneration will reflect designation & location.

Current projects include Oil & Gas facilities, pipelines, power stations, LNG tank farms, & petro-chemical works. Medical\Travel Insurance by SOS International or American Express. Jobspec as follows:- Graduate Engineer, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Minimum 25 years post graduate experience Minimum 10 years overseas experience, 5 years West Africa, or similar hardship posting Minimum 15 years in Oil & Gas, power and petrochemical Started career as an engineer, last 15 years hands on Senior\Lead Planning Engineer Conversant with all latest planning software Will have worked for an oil company, preferably ex Shell or Total Project orientated, worked on projects start to finish UK\EU\N American\Australian nationals prefered. Working week is a MINIMUM 60 hour\six day week; rotation is six weeks on\two weeks off. Business class flights provided from your nearest international airport. Duration, subject to satisfactory initial six weeks work, 12 month renewable contract by mutual agreement. Remuneration GBP70 per working & approved hour; this is gross hourly rate i.e. Ltd Co or residency. You will be paid by monthly by SS Engineering.
